Martin Freeman and Lee Pace as Legolas' father are in new photos from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
Another batch of photos from THE HOBBIT: AN EXPECTED JOURNEY have been released and there are several shots of Martin Freeman who plays Bilbo Baggins along with shots of various characters that you may or may not recognize. As mentioned before I’m not a huge fan of THE HOBBIT, however, it was neat to see a shot of Lee Pace who plays the Elvish king Thranduil who also happens to be Legolas’ (played by Orlando Bloom) father. Expect to see a ton more photos crop up over the next few months as THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY makes its way to theaters.
THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY focuses on Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman), a hobbit from the Shire. When a group of dwarves along with Gandalf the Grey come to his home, Bilbo is recruited to join them all in an adventure. During this trek across Middle Earth, Bilbo will encounter many creatures, one of which is Gollum who currently possesses the precious ring that spawned three more books. Directed by Peter Jackson, THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY stars: Martin Freeman, Andy Serkis, Hugo Weaving, Stephen Fry, Elijah Wood, Ian McKellen, Brett McKenzie, Orlando Bloom, Evangeline Lilly, Ian Holm, Benedict Cumberbatch, Luke Evans and Cate Blanchett. THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY opens in theaters on December 14th, 2012. (ComingSoon)
