Martin Scorsese is now officially attached to direct The Snowman

It’s kind of hard to not be on the Martin Scorsese bandwagon. If this guy makes a movie, I want to see it. I don’t care what it is. He could fully adapt an old episode of THE SNORKS and I would be there on opening day. I’m not even kidding. I would never pass judgment either. I sound a lot like a Christopher Nolan fanboy.

The good thing is that the next project Scorsese has lined up has nothing to do with early 80s cartoons. Actually it’s pretty far from that. The director has been circling the adaptation of Jo Nesbo’s THE SNOWMAN for a little while now. Now it looks like Nesbo has given Scorsese the greenlight to go ahead and helm. The novel is the seventh in the Harry Hole series which focuses on a son who finds his mother’s pink scarf wrapped around the neck of a ominous looking snowman. Hole realizes she is the latest victim of a serial killer.

WORLD WAR Z scribe Matthew Michael Carnahan will adapt the novel.
