The drama THE WAY, WAY BACK may be one of those films that has flown under your radar, but you may want to keep an eye on it as a really decent cast that is currently being assembled. Maya Rudolph (BRIDESMAIDS and SNL), Rob Corddry (ANCHORMAN: THE LEGEND CONTINUES) and Amanda Peet (2012) have joined the cast of the drama from writers/directors Nat Faxon and Jim Rash (who won an Academy Award for their Adapted Screenplay THE DESCENDANTS).

THE WAY, WAY BACK follows a teenage boy (Liam James)  who during his summer break, forms a friendship the gives him the strength and courage to reconnect with his mother (Toni Collette) and stand up to his drunken and abusive father (Steve Carrell). No word on which characters Maya Rudolph, Rob Corddry or Amanda Peet will play, but they will be joining a cast that includes: Allison Janney, Sam Rockwell and AnnaSophia Robb. Shooting is set to start on Monday in the New England area. (Deadline)
