Megan Fox and Will Arnett star in the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles trailer
When Michael Bay first revealed that he was going to be producing a CGI-heavy reboot of TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES, fans everywhere groaned. But let’s be honest for a second here; are the Ninja Turtles really that sacred of a story? Sure, the cartoon was fun and the first movie was okay, but it’s not like it’s the greatest story. In fact, the whole idea is kind of ridiculous, so let’s give Michael Bay a break. With that said, the first trailer for the reboot is here and I’m not sure it’s going to sway anyone one way or the other. Check it out below and see for yourself.
The official TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES synopsis: Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April O’Neil (Megan Fox) and her wise-cracking cameraman Vern Fenwick (Will Arnett) to save the city and unravel Shredder’s diabolical plan. Directed by Jonathan Liebesman (BATTLE: LOS ANGELES, WRATH OF THE TITANS), TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES will star Megan Fox as April O’Neil, Will Arnett as Vernon Fenwick, Alan Ritchson as Raphael, Noel Fisher as Michelangelo, Jeremy Howard as Donatello, Pete Ploszek as Leonardo and Danny Woodburn as Splinter, as well as Whoopi Goldberg and William Fichtner. The Michael Bay produced film hits theaters on August 8th.
