Mel Gibson reteaming with Randall Wallace for a new film

I always thought Mel Gibson got a raw deal with the way the press portrayed his leaked phone conversations he had with Oksana Grigorieva. Let’s face it; the people that love you the most are also the ones that can hurt you the most and if we had snippets of conversations we’ve had with our partners plastered all over the internet, everyone would look like a horrible person. But I digress. The point of this article is to point out that Mel Gibson recently gave a great interview to Allison Hope Weiner where he opened up about everything and announced he was working on a project with his BRAVEHEART scribe Randall Wallace. He described it as an adventure comedy in the vein of Alexander Dumas (the original author of such classics as ‘The Three Musketeers’).

I highly recommend taking the time to read the entire interview, especially if you’re of the opinion that Mel is still a racist jerk. The interview felt honest and it was clear Mel feels remorse and an eagerness to move past it. Whatever you may think of him, he’s still a great actor and I’m looking forward to catching him in this summer’s THE BEAVER.
