Melissa Leo joins Denzel Washington in The Equalizer
Melissa Leo has always had a hard edge, which might make her good pick for the film adaptation of the 80’s television show THE EQUALIZER. The actress won a supporting Oscar for her supporting work in THE FIGHER, where she famously used some choice language during her acceptance speech that had producers putting good use to the network delay. She will join two-time Academy Award winner Denzel Washington. Melissa Leo has most recently had supporting work in OBLIVION and collaborated with director Antoine Fuqua in OLYPUS HAS FALLEN. She also can be seen in the upcoming PRISONERS starring Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal. Directed by Antoine Fuqua, THE EQUALIZER currently stars Denzel Washington, Chloe Grace Moretz and Marton Csokas. The film will begin production in June with a hopeful release sometime next year.
