Of course, a movie featuring Meryl Streep doing a different voice, starring in the film adaptation of a famous Broadway play is what we would call an awards chaser. And I knew that going into the trailer, but I still found myself interested and even chuckled a little bit towards the end. As for Meryl Streep’s voice…well, I didn’t like her voice in IRON LADY or JULIE AND JULIA, but those were award winning roles, so maybe I’m not the best judge of Meryl Streep’s voices.
AUGUST OSAGE COUNTY boasts an impressive cast that includes Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Ewan McGregor, Benedict Cumberbatch, Abigail Breslin, Juliette Lewis, Dermot Mulroney, Chris Cooper, Sam Shepard and Margo Martindale. The John Wells directed film hits theaters on November 8th.
