Mia Wasikowska, Glenn Close, and Aaron Johnson pose with stern expressions for the latest Albert Nobbs poster

There is no question that Glenn Close is an outstanding actress. Although she has proved her talent time and time again, Close is still testing her boundaries.
Her long awaited project, ALBERT NOBBS puts the actress into the role of a man. Well actually, she will be taking the role of a woman who dresses as a man in the 19th century to find some sense of respect. Back then it was quite common especially with women writers to take on the pen names of a man in order to gain recognition. In the film, Albert Nobbs struggles to survive in late 19th century Ireland, where women aren’t encouraged to be independent. Posing as a man so she can work as a butler in Dublin’s most posh hotel, Albert meets a handsome painter and looks to escape the lie she has been living.
Close has been trying to get this project going and finally it will release on January 27th. A poster for the film has debuted and is kind of boring. The transformation on Close is spectacular but the rest is just sort of lackluster.
