Michael C. Hall bringing Dexter: The Fifth Season to Blu-ray

Paramount and Showtime Entertainment has announced that DEXTER: THE FIFTH SEASON, starring Michael C. Hall, Jennifer Carpenter, Julia Stiles and Jonny Lee Miller, will be released on Blu-ray August 16, 2011. For anyone who has yet to hear about this excellent series, DEXTER is a blood splatter analyst for the Miami Police Department who happens to be a serial killer on the side. However, he’s really a serial killer with a heart who only takes out bad guys, so that does make him more likeable. No special features for DEXTER: THE FIFTH SEASON have yet been released but pre-orders are currently listed on Amazon.
As far as season cliffhangers go, DEXTER season four was quite the doozy. In fact, it was so crazy that I had trouble letting it go for a few days after watching it. I’m highly anticipating season five and this will surely be one I pick up on the release date.
