Michael Clarke Duncan lends voice for Green Lantern character Kilowog

It’s been circling the rumor mill for a bit, but now it’s confirmed that Michael Clarke Duncan will be lending his deep baritone voice to the character Kilowog in the upcoming GREEN LANTERN. The actor will be voicing the CGI character in the same way Geoffrey Rush is for the fish/bird-like alien Tomar-Re. Kilowog is a drill sergeant who trains new recruits for the Green Lantern Corps. which is like an intergalactic police department. Does this mean we get to see a training montage with Ryan Reynolds? I sure hope so, because nothing beats a training montage with some cheesy music. That may just make or break the movie for me.

GREEN LANTERN is set to hit theaters on June 17, 2011. The film will star: Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard and Mark Strong and will be directed by Martin Campbell.
