Michael Fassbender joins Noomi Rapace in Ridley Scott's Prometheus

Michael Fassbender has apparently been confirmed to join Noomi Rapace in Ridley Scott’s upcoming film PROMETHEUS, which was originally going to be a prequel to ALIEN but turned into something different. Fassbender will star opposite Rapace in a story we really don’t know much about, except that it involves “Alien DNA”. That’s vague but very intriguing for fans of the franchise. It’s been rumored that Charlize Theron and Angelina Jolie are still circling the film but there is still no concrete information on that. I really doubt either of them will join because Theron appears to be serious about the film SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN, in which she is in negotiations to play the evil queen. And Angelina Jolie? I don’t think she plays well with others, as in if she’s not the lead in the film, I don’t think she would be involved with it.

PROMETHEUS was originally set to hit theaters in March, but recently got moved to a much better summer date of June 8, 2012. That’s where any Ridley Scott film should be, I don’t know what the studio was thinking by trying to make him open a film in the spring. What were they thinking?
