Mike White drops out of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies

Bummer news for Lionsgate as director Mike White leaves the film PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES to work on an HBO project. Not that it matters too much since they are working on another Seth Grahame-Smith adaptation in ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER, which appears to be further along since they are already searching for their leading man. I’m sure PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES will be back on track soon enough so no worries there. In fact, it might not be so bad for Hollywood to take a break with the zombie films for awhile. There has been quite the influx and definitely more interest since the AMC show THE WALKING DEAD took off.  Either way, we’re still looking at watching either vampires or zombies from Lionsgate. Is anyone else sick of these two subjects?  They were fun for awhile, but really a little more variety would spice up our movie going lives.
