My Bloody Valentine in 3D coming to Blu-ray in October

It has been announced that the 2009 horror flick MY BLOODY VALENTINE, starring Jamie King (THE SPIRIT), Jensen Ackles (from TV’s Supernatural) and Kerr Smith (from TV’s Dawson’s Creek), will be released as a 3D and Full HD Best Buy exclusive on October 5, 2010.  This is the first film shot in the 3D and HD format to actually hit Blu-ray. MY BLOODY VALENTINE follows Tom (Jensen Ackles) who returns to his hometown on the anniversary of a massacre that claimed the lives of 22 people.  Upon his return he is hunted by the killer from the past who tried to kill him the first time around.

I’m not really into horror films so this has absolutely no appeal to me.  The plot looks stale and all these scary films with B-list actors are starting to wear on me.  What I can say is that I’m glad this film brought the 3D era back into Hollywood, sometimes you have to look on the bright side of things.  No special features have been announced yet.
