The premise of NO STRINGS ATTACHED is that a guy (Ashton Kutcher) and a girl (Natalie Portman), who were previously good friends, decide to start a relationship where they have sex, but without any “strings”. In other words, under the agreement that neither will fall in love with the other one. But of course, we all know that never works and so when one starts falling for the other, comedy/drama ensues. The problem most people have with the idea of the film is that Ashton Kutcher seems like a sleazebag and Natalie Portman seems like a perfect little angel. For right or wrong, that seems to be their public persona. Either way, the expressions of the two in the picture below is exactly how I’d imagine them if they woke up next to each other and realized they just had sex.
The film also stars Cary Elwes, Lake Bell, Olivia Thirlby and Greta Gerwig (GREENBERG). Ivan Reitman is directing and the film opens everywhere January 11th, 2011. Watch the trailer here.
