Natalie Portman and Black Swan lead the nominations for the Broadcast Film Critics Association

Even though it’s been a spectacular year for films with releases like: INCEPTION, TRUE GRIT, THE FIGHTER and THE SOCIAL NETWORK, is it any surprise that Darren Aronofsky’s psycological ballet thriller BLACK SWAN leads the nominations for the Broadcast Film Critic’s Association. Not only did BLACK SWAN lead the nominations, they broke the record with a whopping twelve nominations. BLACK SWAN is not only nominated for Best Picture, but also Best Actress (Natalie Portman), Best Supporting Actress (Mila Kunis) and, of course, Best Director (Darren Aronofsky).
If you have any hesitation on whether or not to see BLACK SWAN this year, let me settle you mind…it really is that amazing. The dancing is beautiful, the cinematography is stunning and the storyline left me both disturbed and awestruck, which is tough to do. Natalie Portman gives the performance of a lifetime and one you will not want to miss, but make sure you see it on a weekend because I guarantee you’ll be up late thinking about what you just saw.
