National Lampoon's Animal House coming to Blu-ray

Universal Studios Home Entertainment has announced that the classic 1978 comedy NATIONAL LAMPOON’S ANIMAL HOUSE, directed by John Landis starring John Belushi, Karen Allen, Kevin Bacon, Tim Matheson, John Vernon and Donald Sutherland, will be available on Blu-ray July 26, 2011. The film takes place at a college in 1962 where Dean Vernon Wormer is determined to expel the entireĀ  Delta Tau Chi fraternity but those guys have other plans for him.

It’s hard to believe that this film was made all the way back in 1978 and is still probably one of the most popular comedies of all time. Does this just confirm that college fraternities haven’t changed in over three decades? Just kidding frat guys, I’m sure you don’t still have toga parties, and plot practical jokes, right?
