Neil Patrick Harris officially returning for third Harold and Kumar film

For those of us that stayed after the credits rolled on HARALD AND KUMAR: ESCAPE FROM GUANTANAMO BAY, we knew that Neil Patrick Harris was going to make a grand return if there ever was another sequel. When Kal Penn took Whitehouse position for Obama, many of us thought the Kumar films would probably be over. But apparently he became disenchanted with his political job and is back, along with John Cho for A VERY HAROLD AND KUMAR CHRISTMAS. Patton Oswalt will be joining them as a new cast member. Todd Strauss-Schulson will be directing.

I actually really enjoyed HAROLD AND KUMAR GO TO WHITE CASTLE. It was fun, quirky and offered enough jokes to keep you laughing. The second was alright, but they weren’t able to capture the feel of the first one. NPH was one of the only funny aspects of the sequel. I don’t know what they have planned for the third film, but I can only assume NPH will have an even bigger role.
