The new Bond movie now has a title and a cast
SPECTRE. Yep, James Bond’s old nemesis is now the title of the 24th Bond film, with the title unveiled today at a surprisingly large press conference in England. I’m not entirely sure the 24th film in the series warrants such a huge production for a title and cast release, but the Brits sure do love their James Bond. In addition to the title, it was revealed that Christoph Waltz, Ralph Fiennes, Naomi Harris, Ben Whishaw, Rory Kinnear, Dave Bautista and Andrew Scott will be starring in the film with Lea Seydoux and Monica Bellucci as the Bond girls this time around. And of course, Daniel Craig will be reprising his role as James Bond, marking his fourth turn in the iconic role.
Beyond the cast and title reveal, not much else was discussed, with director Sam Mendes being evasive about plot details and story outlines. Bond aficionados know that Bond’s greatest nemesis is Blofield, who led Spectre, and there was no mention as to whether or not he’ll show up in SPECTRE. We do know that Waltz will be playing a villain named Oberhauser and maybe that will end up being a Harrison-Khan situation. Filming starts on Monday and the film hits theaters on November 6th, 2015.
