New pictures emerge from the set of The Avengers

While THE DARK KNIGHT RISES has basically turned into a Theater in the Park production at this point with so many set photos showing up every day, filming on the set of THE AVENGERS has been pretty tightly controlled. Nary an image of Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, Thor or The Hulk have appeared since filming began. Even the post-CAPTAIN AMERICAN trailer was hush-hush. But thankfully, we have the good news stations of Cleveland to take some pictures of some destruction on the set, which is temporarily doubling as New York City for filming. I know what you’re thinking because whenever I go to Cleveland, I can’t help but think how much it reminds me of NYC.

THE AVENGERS stars Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth,Samuel L. Jackson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Cobie Smulders and Scarlett Johansson. The Joss Whedon directed film opens everywhere on May 4th, 2012.
