Nicolas Cage stars in the new Left Behind trailer

Christians know the ‘Left Behind’ series of novels from Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins quite well. Others might know the story form the Kirk Cameron movies that came out several years ago. But now you’re going to know it because crazy Nicolas Cage is starring in the remake. Cameron’s films were made on the cheap and therefore, suffered from what usually burdens cheaply made movies; bad acting and bad special effects. But to be fair to Mike Seaver, the new version doesn’t look like it has made many improvements. But check it out below and see for yourself.
The official synopsis for LEFT BEHIND: LEFT BEHIND follows Rayford Steele (Nicolas Cage), who is piloting a commercial airliner just hours after the Rapture when millions of people around the globe simply vanish. Thirty thousand feet over the Atlantic, Rayford is faced with a damaged plane, terrified passengers, and a desperate desire to get back to his family. On the ground, his daughter, Chloe Steele (Cassi Thomson) is among those left behind, forced to navigate a world of madness as she searches for her lost mother and brother. LEFT BEHIND stars Nicolas Cage, Chad Michael Murray, Lea Thompson, Nicky Whelan, Cassi Thomson and Jordin Sparks. The Vic Armstrong directed film hits theaters on October 3rd.
