Octavia Spencer joins Flypaper with Patrick Dempsey and Ashley Judd

HALLOWEEN 2’s Octavia Spencer is going to be joining the quirky comedy FLYPAPER with Patrick Dempsey and Ashley Judd. In the film, Patrick Dempsey will play a bank teller that gets caught in the middle of two simultaneous bank robberies and has to protect the other teller he’s secretly in love with. No word on what role Spencer will be playing. Octavia Spencer was also recently cast in the period drama THE HELP.
Although I can’t stand Kentucky basketball, I’ve always had a soft spot for Ashley Judd. It’s glad to have her back on the big screen. Patrick Dempsey will never be able to live down MEATBALLS 3 and I think he’s going to have to recall some of that nerdy-do-gooder character for this role. But the idea of two bank robberies at the same time sounds intriguing.
