Pacific Rim reveals new poster

Guillermo del Toro’s PACIF RIM has a lot of question marks. In fact, I would say the biggest thing going for it is that Guillermo del Toro is directing it. Under any other generic director, PACIFIC RIM would fall to the waste side like last year’s BATTLESHIP. But with such an unusual visionary director, the film about humans controlling giant robots fighting monstrous aliens may actually be pretty cool. A perfect fit for a summer blockbuster. Anyway, Warner Bros. has released a new poster of PACIFIC RIM. Clearly the marketing is pushing the big budget robots and desctruction over the human element.
PACIFIC RIM stars: Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Ron Perlman, Charlie Day, Clifton Collins Jr., Rinko Kikuchi, Robert Maillet and Burn Gorman. The Guillermo del Toro science fiction film will hit 3D, 2D and IMAX theaters on July 12. (Warner Bros.)
