Just yesterday we posted a handful of new images from OUR IDIOT BROTHER and when I posted them, I immediately thought it was odd that we’ve seen so many images from the movie but haven’t seen a trailer. Well, we don’t have to wait anymore because the first look at the ensemble comedy is here. And I can’t believe this is true, but I can honestly say I didn’t laugh once. Not even a giggle. Nothing. I had absolutely no reaction to this trailer whatsoever and this is not a good start to the marketing campaign for the film. The premise is ripe for plenty of comedy, so I’m hoping they just had a bad trailer. Is it just me, or are there a lot of bad trailers being made these days?
The film stars Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Banks, Zooey Deschanel, Emily Mortimer, Rashida Jones, Adam Scott, Hugh Dancy, T.J. Miller and Steve Coogan. It hits theaters everywhere on August 26th and I’m hoping by then they can put a trailer together that will get people interested in the film.
