Paul Walker will star in Fred Durst directed thriller, Pawn Shop Chronicles

Riding off the nearly guaranteed success of FAST FIVE, Paul Walker has signed onto the Fred Durst directed film PAWN SHOP CHRONICLES. The singer turned director will also be producing the thriller that follows “the interconnected stories center on a missing wedding ring which leads to a wild-goose chase involving meth addicts, skinheads and an Elvis impersonator.” The producers are hoping to start shooting the film this spring in Michigan.

Here’s an interesting piece of trivia, did you know that Fred Durst’s first film THE EDUCATION OF CHARLIE BANKS starred Jesse Eisenberg and that Durst was the one who recommended Eisenberg to David Fincher for THE SOCIAL NETWORK because they are buddies? Interesting piece of trivia, no? I know a lot of people don’t really care for Fred Durst, but PAWN SHOP CHRONICLES could be pretty good. We all really need to try and forget that he did that film THE LONGSHOTS, because that could have just been for a paycheck.
