Pete Postlethwaite: 1946-2011

It’s a terrible way to have to start off 2011 as we have to announced that British actor Pete Postlethwaite has passed on at the age of 64 after struggling with a battle to cancer. The actor has left us with a long list of incredible films to enjoy that include: ROMEO + JULIET, AMISTAD, THE USUAL SUSPECTS, THE LAST OF THE MOHICANS, and THE CONSTANT GARDNER. He was even in three major films in 2010 that include: THE TOWN, INCEPTION and CLASH OF THE TITANS. Postlethwaite was also nominated for an Oscar in 1994 for his role as Giuseppe Conlon in the Jim Sheridan film IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER. He was also considered “The best actor in the world” by director Steven Spielberg.
Pete Postlethwaite will appear one more time in the film KILLING BONO which will be released in theaters on April 1, 2011. He is survived by his wife son and daughter.
