Phillip Seymour Hoffman will join Christopher Walken in A Late Quartet

It has been confirmed that Phillip Seymour Hoffman will join the cast of the Yaron Zilberman drama A LATE QUARTET. Ethan Hawke was previously attached to this film but had to drop out very recently, but Hoffman will still hopefully star alongside: Christopher Walken, Catherine Keener and Imogen Poots (not all of these actors are confirmed). The film follows a string quartet where the leader starts to show signs of his Parkinson’s disease. Now on the verge their 25th season, they must cope with the impending change and try to get past all of their egos. Production for the film should begin within the next few months and there is no release date scheduled.
Although Phillip Seymour Hoffman is almost always working on a film, some of them do tend to fly under the radar. A particular indie film that received a lot of great reviews but wasn’t big enough to make it into theaters was JACK GOES BOATING. The Blu-ray for that film is set for a January 18th release.
