Pixar reveals new posters for Brave
Pixar‘s upcoming film BRAVE is now officially in promotional mode as today we get four new character posters from the upcoming film. As always with Pixar films, the colors and details pop in these four posters which feature the main characters: Merida (voiced by Kelly Macdonald), Merida’s parents King Fergus (Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (Emma Thompson), Merida’s potential suitors Lord Macintosh (Craig Ferguson), Lord MacGuffin (Kevin McKidd) and Lord Dingwall (Robbie Coltrane) and finally her kid brothers Hamish, Huebrt and Harris.
Here is the synopsis of the upcoming Pixar film BRAVE, “Determined to make her own path in life, Princess Merida defies a custom that brings chaos to her kingdom. Granted one wish, Merida must rely on her bravery and her archery skills to undo a beastly curse.” No doubt this sounds like a great story and Pixar seems to be pushing the idea of looking inside one’s self and determining who you really are despite what is expected of you. Pixar’s BRAVE hits theaters on June 22, 2012.
Before Pixar rolled out CARS 2 they could do no wrong in my eyes. Now Pixar appears to have dropped their standards and will put out films just to make an extra buck. Hopefully by releasing BRAVE this summer, Pixar will climb back to the top and give us a story that will entertain and touch our hearts. Plus they have thrown in actors like Kelly Macdonald and Billy Connolly that have such charming accents how could you not love them? I personally am in love with Macdonald’s character in HBO’s Boardwalk Empire and she’s really the only reason I watch it. So there’s no question that Pixar will have me in a theater seat this June, just because I do love a great Scottish brogue and all the red haired characters don’t hurt either. (EW)
