Rachel Weisz looks classy in a new image from The Deep Blue Sea

Director Terrence Davies doesn’t make many films, but when he does, they’re usually period pieces with complex characters.  Such was the case with his last feature film THE HOUSE OF MIRTH, which featured Gillian Anderson in a non-X-Files role and again with his new film THE DEEP BLUE SEA.  Now, many of you may be hoping that this is a period remake of the 1999 horror film DEEP BLUE SEA, but unfortunately, it is not.  So your dreams of seeing Rachel Weisz give a motivational speech in an old English vernacular and then get randomly attacked by a shark will probably never come true.

However, if your dream was to watch Rachel Weisz play a suicidal woman caught between her pilot lover and her judge husband, then you’re in luck.  Loki himself, Tom Hiddleston, will be playing her pilot lover while Simon Russell Beale will be her scorned husband.
