Real Steel, starring Hugh Jackman and Evangeline Lilly, coming to Blu-ray in January

The idea of a “robot version of Rocky” just sounds like a lot of fun, so I’m excited for the Blu-ray release of REAL STEEL on January 24th.  REAL STEEL was another film I missed this fall (I had a rough September), but I’ll definitely be picking this one up.  The film stars Hugh Jackman as a former boxer that turns to coaching robot boxers when human boxing is deemed too violent.  Along with the gratuitous robot on robot violence, the film has  aheartfelt story about a father trying to connect with his son.

Special features include four featurettes: Countdown to the Fight: The Charlie Kenton Story, Sugar Ray Leonard: Cornerman’s Champ, Making of Metal Valley and Building the Bots.  There will also be a couple of deleted and extended scenes with commentary from director Shawn Levy and a blooper reel.  Evangeline Lilly, Anthony Mackie and Dakota Goyo also star.
