Reese Witherspoon could team up with David Fincher for the adaptation of Gone Girl

Reese Witherspoon and David Fincher

Last summer Reese Witherspoon picked up the rights to adapt the famous novel “Gone Girl” by Gillian Flynn, and now it looks like director David Fincher is interested to be a part of the film. Though everything is still in talks and there is nothing definite, David Fincher could team up with Reese Witherspoon on the project that will be set up at Fox. If you are unfamiliar with GONE GIRL, the story follows a couple named Nick and Amy Dunne on their fifth wedding anniversary. When Amy suddenly goes missing all fingers point to her husband even though he and his twin sister Margo claim his innocence. Did he really kill Amy or does her diary reveal that she had troubling issues of her own? There’s not a lot of information on the adaptation of GONE GIRL just yet, in fact we’re not even sure if Reese Witherspoon will be starring in the film or just staying on as producer. However, we’ll keep you posted when we know more information.

Even though Reese Witherspoon is wearing the producers jacket for GONE GIRL, she can be seen on the big screen in the upcoming films: MUD, DEVIL’S KNOT, BIG EYES, WISH LIST and WOMEN ARE FROM MARS, WOMEN ARE FROM VENUS. (Variety)
