Robert Downey, Jr. bringing Chaplin to Blu-ray

Lionsgate Home Entertainment has announced that the 1992 film CHAPLIN, starring Robert Downey, Jr., Anthony Hopkins, Marisa Tomei, Kevin Kline and Diane Lane, will be coming to Blu-ray on February 15, 2011. The film is a biopic of the legendary actor and filmmaker Charlie Chaplin. The film follows his the life prior to filming and all the success he received after becoming one of the biggest names during the silent film era. The film was directed by Richard Attenborough and gave Robert Downey, Jr. an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor.

CHAPLIN is one of those films that I have always wanted to see but never got around to, so I’m excited to see that it’s coming to Blu-ray although I’m surprised there are not more special features. I didn’t realize that it had so many stars in the film either, including Moira Kelly. Remember her, from THE CUTTING EDGE? Special features for Chaplin include:
