Robert Pattinson and David Cronenberg are re-teaming for another film

David Cronenberg and Robert Pattinson

COSMOPOLIS hasn’t even hit theaters yet, but director David Cronenberg is apparently so happy with his young star that he has already decided to do his next film with him. It’s been reported that David Cronenberg and Robert Pattinson will be reuniting for another film that will be shot in France. We don’t know for sure what this new Robert Pattinson/David Cronenberg collaboration will be but rumors are floating that it may be the film MAP TO THE STARS which is a dark thriller the director has been working on since 2006, however that’s still not confirmed.  Here’s what Robert Pattinson has said about the upcoming project, “I’m filming another movie with Cronenberg but I don’t know when he wants to start filming. It’s going to be his first one in France and he promises it’s going to be very strange. The next two or three years are going to be crucial for me. It’s now that everything happens.” Robert Pattinson couldn’t be more accurate, the next two or three years will be very crucial for the young actor as he breaks away from his sparkly vampire identity and takes on more serious roles. We’ll just have to wait and see what comes of this new project and watch COSMOPOLIS in the meantime.

COSMOPOLIS is based on the novel by Don DeLillo and follows billionaire Eric Packer (Robert Pattinson) in a twenty-four hour time period where he lose his life fortune, has many relations with women and is also avoiding a stalker who he believes is trying to kill him. Alongside Robert Pattinson, COSMOPOLIS will star: Jay Baruchel, Paul Giamatti, Kevin Durand, Juliette Binoche, Samantha Morton, Mathieu Amalric and Sarah Gadon. Still no word on when COSMOPOLIS will be in theaters, but there’s a good chance we’ll see it sometime this fall. (RPLife/BleedingCool)
