Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart lead the way for the 2013 Razzie Awards Nominations
No one will ever consider me a Twilight sympathizer, but one thing that strikes me as odd with Twilight dominating the 2013 Razzie nominations is that from most accounts, THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN PART 2 (click the link to read our review) was the best reviewed of all the Twilight films. True, that’s not saying a whole lot, but I thought the film was good enough to at least avoid the Razzie awards, at least for everyone but Kristen Stewart. But alas, the film picked up nominations for worst movie of the year, worst actor (Robert Pattinson), worst actress (Kristen Stewart), worst director, worst supporting actress (Ashley Greene), worst supporting actor (Taylor Lautner), worst ensemble, worst screenplay, worst sequel and worst screen couple. Yeah, it got some attention in every category.
Along with Twilight, the Razzies really seemed to hate BATTLESHIP and THAT’S MY BOY, both of which are understandably Razzie contenders. I think the big upset of the nominations was Taylor Kitsch not getting a worst actor nomination for BATTLESHIP, JOHN CARTER or SAVAGES. All of those were equally bad.
