Robert Pattinson and Viggo Mortensen will share the screen with Rachel Weisz in Maps To The Stars
Looks like Rachel Weisz will be joining Robert Pattinson and Viggo Mortensen in the upcoming film MAPS TO THE STARS from director David Cronenberg. This is a project that has been in the works since 2006, and now that there are three relative heavy hitters attached it just might get made. This is how David Cronenberg describes MAPS TO THE STARS, “You could say it’s a Hollywood film because the characters are agents, actors and managers, but it is not a satire like THE PLAYER. Hollywood is a world that is seductive and repellent at the same time, and it is the combination of the two that makes it so potent. I won’t fall back on some clichés or simplistic sloganeering, because the culture and what it reveals about Western culture and the rest of the world is very complex.” Sounds very much like a David Cronenberg film, as in very vague.
Production for MAPS TO THE STARS is supposed to start in May and will be shot in Los Angeles. Stay tuned for more casting announcements. (The Film Stage)
