Robert Pattinson loses Jeff Buckley role to Reeve Carney

It look like the long gestating Jeff Buckley film directed by Jake Scott and based off the book “Dream Brother: The Lives and Music of Jeff and Tim Buckley” has finally found its lead. Reeve Carney (from the band Carney and who also played Peter Parker in the infamous Broadway musical Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark) will take the lead in the film that was eagerly sought by Robert Pattinson of TWIIGHT fame. This particular film about the singer will follow the life of the singer from the start of his career to his untimely death in 1997, instead of the other Buckley film (GREETINGS FROM TIM BUCKLEY) which will tell the story of the man before he became a singer/performer. Filming will start in November so keep an eye out for additional casting.
I actually think Robert Pattinson has become a little too popular and big to play this role, so I think it may a good thing he lost it to this virtual unknown. Even though I give Bob Patty a tough time for being a sparkly vampire, I can admit that he has a lot of charisma on screen and he probably has much bigger things in store.
