RoboCop viral clip gives us a look at OmniCorp

With Comic-Con 2012 coming up in a matter of weeks, it’s only natural that we would start to see a viral campaign for at least one movie coming out next summer. Looks like the first one to hit the internet is a short trailer for OmniCorp which is the fictional corporation in the film ROBOCOP. For those fans of the 1987 film, you’ll remember that OmniCorp was the company intent on moving the law-enforcement industry into the future. They are the ones who give us our favorite cyborg RoboCop.
ROBOCOP is set in a dystopian future where a fatally wounded cop is transformed into a cyborg to help fight crime. The ROBOCOP reboot is being directed by José Padilha and will star Joel Kinnaman (as RoboCop), Hugh Laurie, Gary Oldman, Samuel L. Jackson and Abbie Cornish and is set to hit theaters in August 2013.
