If there was anyone out there that was having reservations about David Fincher’s remake of THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO, then hopefully this 3.5 minute extended trailer will serve to quiet some of those fears. Personally, I was concerned that Fincher was going to hold back and make it too “PG” for American audiences, but it doesn’t seem like that’s the case. I was also concerned about Rooney Mara (only because I loved Noomi Rapace so much in the originals), but it looks like Mara completely nails the role of Lisbeth Salander. All in all, this looks like it has everything you want in a Christmas movie…or not.
The English language remake of Stieg Larsson’s novel stars Daniel Craig, Rooney Mara, Robin Wright, Christopher Plummer and Stellan Skarsgard. It hits theaters everywhere on December 21st, 2011, just in time for Christmas (and awards season).
