An interesting story has surfaced over the last few days regarding another film about the infamous Howard Hughes. It was recently reported that Hollywood legend Warren Beatty was going to be writing, directing and starring in a film based on a script that was written roughly 25 years ago. There are no plot details right now, but that doesn’t appear to matter much as there is already a slew of young A-listers who are circling the film, and who can blame them? Beatty has been off the Hollywood scene for over a decade and working with him could be one of those once in a lifetime chances. Here’s a list of actors young and old who are eyeing a role in the film: Annette Benning, Jack Nicholson, Alec Baldwin, Rooney Mara, Shia LaBeouf, Andrew Garfield and Evan Rachel Wood.
As we mentioned before, there are no real plot details that have yet emerged, but here is what has been reported about the film thus far: “He (Warren Beatty) will play Howard Hughes, but it’s not really a biopic; part of the plot involves an affair he had with a young woman in the later years of his life.” So there you have it, not a lot but a little something to wet your appetite. Stay tuned for more updates as this should be one interesting ride.
