Ryan Gosling is not so secretly taking over Hollywood. Last year he had the critically acclaimed BLUE VALENTINE and ALL GOOD THINGS, this year he has DRIVE, THE IDES OF MARCH and currently in theaters CRAZY, STUPID, LOVE, and in the next two years he has ONLY GOD FORGIVES, THE GANGSTER SQUAD AND THE PLACE BEYOND THE PINES. He’s a busy little bee and right now he’s working on THE PLACE BEYOND THE PINES with his BLUE VALENTINE director Derek Cianfrance which will open in 2013.
THE PLACE BEYOND THE PINES follows a motorcycle stunt rider (Gosling) who is mulling over committing a crime to provide for his wife and kid. Unfortunately, this act will mean that he is crossing paths with an ex-cop turned politician (Bradley Cooper), this will spiral down into a feud that is passed down to their sons. The film also stars: Eva Mendes, Greta Gerwig, Ray Liotta, Dane DeHaan and Ben Mendelsohn. With a cast and director like this on board, THE PLACE BEYOND THE PINES will definitely be one of those films we need to keep an eye on.
