Ryan Gosling, Josh Brolin and Sean Penn star in the new Gangster Squad featurette

Finally next month we’ll get to see the Warner Bros film GANGSTER SQUAD with Ryan Gosling, Josh Brolin and Sean Penn, but today we’re getting a new featurette that gives some behind-the-scene shots as well as a couple of new (but short) clips from the film. GANGSTER SQUAD follows a rogue police team in L.A. during the 1940’s and 1950’s that took down the East Coast Mafia gangster named Mickey Cohen (played by Sean Penn). You may remember the controversy surrounding this film because of the trailer that showed a movie theater getting shot up, which was pulled because of the incident in Colorado during THE DARK KNIGHT RISES screening. Hopefully everyone will be able to put that memory behind them when this film comes out, because GANGSTER SQUAD has the potential to be a very fun film.
Directed by Reuben Fleischer, GANGSTER SQUAD stars: Ryan Gosling, Sean Penn, Josh Brolin, Robert Patrick, Anthony Mackie, Michael Pena, Sean Penn, Emma Stone, Nick Nolte, Giovanni Ribisi, Holt McCallany, Frank Grillo, Mirielle Enos and Troy Garity. GANGSTER SQUAD will hit theaters on January 11, 2013.
