Ryan Gosling will team up with Christina Hendricks for his directorial debut How to Catch a Monster
It was only a matter of time before Ryan Gosling stepped behind the cameras and perched upon his own director’s chair and it looks like he’s found his first project and actress for the film. Ryan Gosling has written and will direct the film HOW TO CATCH A MONSTER which will star his DRIVE co-star Christina Hendricks (TV’s Mad Men). HOW TO CATCH A MONSTER will follow a single mother named Billy (Christina Hendricks) who is “swept into a macabre and dark fantasy underworld while her teenage son discovers a secret road leading to an underwater town. Both Billy and Bones must dive deep into the mystery, if their family is to survive.” HOW TO CATCH A MONSTER is a mix between fantasy, fairytale and modern suspense. Seems a little different than what I thought Ryan Gosling’s first directorial effort would be, but I’m intrigued nonetheless. No word yet on whether or not he’ll be in front of the camera on this film, but it doesn’t appear so at this time.
