Scooby-Doo and WWE Studios are teaming up for a full length animated feature
For some reason Scooby-Doo is getting a new animated feature that will be heading straight to Blu-ray, DVD and VOD, and Warner Bros. has decided to partner up with WWE Studios on the venture. That’s right, Scooby-Doo and his gang will be attending a WrestleMania event in the film and have to solve a crime there with the help of the wrestlers. I don’t know what is worse, the fact that WWE is trying to get a foothold in the animated arena or that Scooby-Doo was the first cartoon to be picked for such a crazy idea.
The currently untitled Scooby-Doo film already has a plot, here’s the synopsis: When Shaggy and Scooby win tickets to WrestleMania, the entire gang travels in the Mystery Machine to WWE City to attend the epic event. However, when a mysterious ghostly bear appears and threatens to ruin the show, Scooby, Shaggy, Velma, Daphne and Fred work with WWE Superstars to solve the case. I don’t follow wresting but I’m sure we’ll get voices from the more well known wrestlers including Vince McMahon (the CEO of WWE), Triple H, John Cena and Cane. No word on when this doozy will get off the ground, but keep an eye out for it at your local Blu-ray retailer in the next six months to a year. (Deadline)
