Scoot McNairy and Ben Mendelsohn join Brad Pitt in Cogan's Trade

Looks like Scoot McNairy (MONSTERS and IN SEARCH OF A MIDNIGHT KISS) and Ben Mendelsohn (ANIMAL KINGDOM) are the latest talents to join Brad Pitt in Andrew Dominik’s mobster comedy COGAN’S TRADE. Scoot McNairy may be replacing Casey Affleck who has been rumored for the part for a long time but still hasn’t confirmed his participation. The two actors join: Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem, Sam Rockwell, James Gandolfini, Ray Liotta and Richard Jenkins in the film that follows an enforcer (Pitt) who is investigating a robbery during a high-stakes game. McNairy and Mendelsohn are set to play junkies who hold up the poker game and Pitt eventually goes after. Shooting will begin later this year.
McNairy is also up for a couple of other big roles in Ridley Scott’s PROMETHEUS and Timur Bekmambetov’s ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER and we’ll keep you posted as those progress. Looks like Scoot McNairy is one to keep an eye on in the next couple of years.
