Scott Pilgrim's Mary Elizabeth Winstead to star in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

Mary Elizabeth Winstead (SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD and LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD) has joined the cast of ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER. She will star as Mary Todd, Abe Lincoln’s wife in the adventure flick that is being adapted from the novel by Seth Grahame-Smith. She joins the Timur Bekmambetov directed film and will star alongside Benjamin Walker, Dominic Cooper and Anthony Mackie (the latter two are still in negotiations). The film follows our former president as he learns to wield an axe to take down the undead. The film is set for release in theaters on June 22, 2012 and will be presented in 3D.
Another great addition to the cast of this film. I know people loved Winstead as Ramona Flowers in SCOTT PILGRIM, but I happened to like her in Disney’s SKY HIGH, one of my guilty pleasure movies and I like to think that I watched her before she was really “discovered”. It’s really a pretty fun flick.
