Shia LaBeouf looking to join Nymphomaniac from Lars Von Trier

Shia LaBeouf

Shia LaBeouf has really been stepping outside of the summer blockbuster box as his next two films (LAWLESS and THE COMPANY YOU KEEP) are more low-budget indie films. It looks like he’s trying to step a little further outside of that box by possibly taking a role in Lars Von Trier’s upcoming two-part erotic drama entitled NYMPHOMANIAC. NYMPHOMANIAC already has Stellan Skarsgard and Charlotte Gainsbourg on board and Nicole Kidman and Willem Dafoe have been rumored to join as well. NYMPHOMANIAC follows the sexual adventures of a woman (Charlotte Gainsbourg) from youth to around 50 years-old as she is telling the story to her husband (Skarsgard). According to sources shooting is supposed to start in September and there will be two versions of the film released, one will be more “sexually explicit”.

Shia LaBeouf can be seen next in John Hillcoat’s LAWLESS alongside Tom Hardy and Jessica Chastain which opens in theaters on August 29th, 2012. (THR)
