Shia LaBeouf replacing Zac Efron, who replaced Shia LaBeouf in The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman

Shia LaBeouf

About two years ago, Shia LaBeouf was set to star in the drama THE NECESSARY DEATH OF CHARLIE COUNTRYMAN.  But as with many attachments, Shia became unattached and the film picked up another lead in the form of Zac Efron.  Well, another year later and the project is right back in the hands of Shia LaBeouf.  The black-listed script is about  a guy that goes to Europe after the death of his mother where he meets a beautiful girl who has already been “claimed” by a mob boss. Charlie endures multiple beatings to keep her out of harms way while wooing her.  Personally, Shia seems like the perfect guy for a role like this, especially if the woman is played by someone like say, oh, Megan Fox or Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

Newbie director Frederik Bond will tackle the film that’s already in pre-production.  But until Shia gets in front of the camera, I wouldn’t be shocked if this changes hands again.
