Sofia Vergara joins Brad Pitt and Matt Damon in Happy Feet 2

Sofia Vergara has joined a couple of high-profile animated projects. The first is HAPPY FEET 2 and we don’t know what kind of character she’ll be voicing, but she joins a cast that includes Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Elijah Wood, Robin Williams and Hank Azaria. Details all around about the sequel have been kept under wraps. The next film she has joined is THE SMURFS in which she’ll be playing an executive of a high-end cosmetics company. It’s not clear exactly how that character will relate to Neil Patrick Harris’s character, but I’m guessing the little blue Smurfs make nice eye-liner. THE SMURFS stars Neil Patrick Harris and Hank Azaria and features the voices of Quentin Tarantino, Alan Cumming and Katy Perry.

I hadn’t heard much about Sofia Vergara, other than her role on ‘Modern Family’, but she’s done a handful of movies and several TV shows. She’s definitely a beautiful woman and a couple of big films like this could thrust her into the spotlight.
