Spring Breakers, starring Vanessa Hudgens and Selena Gomez, is coming to Blu-ray in July

Let’s face it; a movie called SPRING BREAKERS isn’t going to do much business once Spring Break is over, no matter how many former Disney child stars in bikinis it has. So the three month theater-to-Blu turnaround time shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. SPRING BREAKERS is due to hit home video on July 9th and actually has a decent selection of special features including a commentary with director Harmony Korine, Deleted Scenes, Outtakes, Harmony’s Ear Candy featurette, VICE featurettes and the three part documentary; Breaking it Down: Behind Spring Breakers which features Film Makers: Spring Breakers, Breaking Convention and Spring Breakers Forever.
Directed by Harmony Korine, SPRING BREAKERS, follows four young adult females (Vanessa Hudgens, Selena Gomez, Ashley Benson and Rachel Korine) who rob a fast food restaurant to fund their spring break. They get caught and thrown in jail but are bailed out by a drug dealer (James Franco) who wants them to kill an acquaintance named Arch. Check out the trailer for SPRING BREAKERS below.
