Steve Carell, Ed Helms and John Krasinski bringing The Office: Season Seven to Blu-ray

Universal Studios Home Entertainment has announced that THE OFFICE: SEASON SEVEN, starring Steve Carell (in his final season), John Krasinski, Rainn Wilson, Jenna Fischer, B.J. Novak and Ed Helms, will be released on Blu-ray September 6, 2011. This season marks the end of Michael Scott (Carell) who resigns from his position as branch manager from Dunder Mifflin. The four-disc set will feature all 24 episodes from the season and will be presented in a 1.78:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD Master Audio.

It took me awhile to get on THE OFFICE bandwagon and now I’m glad I did. With that said, Michael Scott is probably my least favorite character of the show so even though it’ll be sad to see him go- I’m totally fine with it. I’ll be eager to see how the show will survive without the main star, but I suspect it’ll be fine for at least a couple of seasons if Krasinski stays on.

Special features for THE OFFICE: SEASON SEVEN will include:

Office Season 7 BD

  • “Nepotism” commentary with B.J. Novak, Craig Robinson, Creed Bratton, Charlie Grandy, and David Rogers
  • “PDA” commentary with Greg Daniels, Ellie Kemper, Angela Kinsey, Brian Baumgartner, Claire Scanlon, Kelly Cantley, and Robert Padnick
  • “Threat Level Midnight” commentary with Paul Lieberstein, B.J. Novak, Creed Bratton, Craig Robinson, and Daniel Chun
  • “Goodbye Michael” commentary with Greg Daniels, Ellie Kemper, Angela Kinsey, Brian Baumgartner, and David Rogers
