Sylvester Stallone reveals minor details on The Expendables 3

Last year audiences were treated to the sequel in THE EXPENDABLES franchise (click the link to read our Blu-ray review of THE EXPENDABLES 2) courtesy of Sylvester Stallone, and it’s no surprise that the third one is right around the corner. Lucky for all of us we live in a world where celebrities can spew out their thoughts on everything at any hour of the day, which is how we are getting the latest scoop on THE EXPENDABLES 3. Apparently Sylvester Stallone gave some updates on the film via his Twitter account and said, “EX3 needs NEW blood and more humor…The films were always meant to be more on the humorous side with moments of drama.” He also said audiences can expect “mountains of surprises” but he wants “some young bloods!!! By young I mean 22 to 27. Not big bruisers but tech wizard, super brains and a young woman who is not a sex symbol but funny, tough, REAL.” Sly also confirmed that Steven Seagal won’t be making an appearance, but they are still working on landing Jackie Chan. So now we ask, who do you think should be added to the new Expendables team?
Right now the only new actor completely confirmed for THE EXPENDABLES 3 appears to be Nicolas Cage. As far as we know most of the other players will be returning and hopefully if Jet Li returns he’ll have a bigger role this go around. I feel a little let down that he was so underutilized in the sequel last year. (Sylvester Stallone)
